Warrington Housing Association is proud to announce its new partnership to manage 161 high quality sustainable homes in Warrington with a ribbon cutting ceremony.  The event was attended by partners from Incrementum, property agent Redwing and Wates Group

WHA in partnership with Redwing will be managing the new homes at Foxwood and Sycamore, the first two residential developments by the Warrington Borough Council-owned Incrementum Housing Development Company.

David Cummins, Chief Executive of Warrington Housing Association, said: “We are delighted to be managing these fantastic homes, which are available for both private and affordable rent.

“WHA’s management of the Foxwood and Sycamore developments will complement and support our portfolio of social housing provision in Warrington, confirming our commitment to providing access top quality.”

The two and three-bedroom houses and one and two-bedroom apartments are available for private rent and affordable rents at the former Foxwood Special School site in Birchwood, and the former Sycamore Lane Community Primary School site in Great Sankey.

These environmentally friendly properties, built with funding from Homes England, include sustainable living features such as solar panels and a ground source heat pump to generate electricity.

They are the first properties to be constructed by Incrementum, and they will set a new benchmark for quality and affordability whilst minimising the carbon footprint of the new buildings by using renewable energy, which should also significantly reduce running costs for tenants.

For the initial 24 months, Redwing will be managing and letting the homes on behalf of WHA.

Fiona Coventry, Executive Director of Property and Managing Director at Redwing said: “We’re delighted to be partnered with Warrington Housing Association on Incrementum’s first development project to provide high quality sustainable homes

“Our mission at Redwing is to help people into good quality homes, so to partner with housing associations and developers across the North West to help deliver this on a wider scale, is something we’re proud to be a part of.”
