Our residents are learning new skills

Self-isolation and social distancing can be a great time to learn new skills, as proven by one of our Lowry Close resident’s, Margaret Whitley.

As an avid baker, Margaret regularly bakes sweet treats for her neighbours, aswell as helping to supply the Lowry Close Coffee mornings and LifeTime’s Cake Club.  However, she had never baked bread!  So after finding a recipe on-line, she decided to give it a go and is delighted with the result.

Margaret’s husband Bernard, was selected as the guinea pig and only too willing to do a taste test, after all, the proof as they say, is in the eating.  After receiving the thumbs up, Margaret is now going to bake loaves for her isolated neighbours in Lowry Close.

Who wouldn’t love to receive a gift like this?  So well done and thank you Margaret, for taking care of your neighbours.
