Warrington Housing Association supports the National Housing Federation’s recent comment that no-one should lose their home because of coronavirus and we will work closely with our customers and the NHF to make sure that does not happen.
While the coronavirus pandemic will affect us all, the hardest hit as the UK prepares for tighter measures to delay the virus will undoubtedly be some of those living in social housing.
The Government has said it will do “whatever it takes” to keep companies and households solvent and is putting additional support measures in place for people who are affected by the coronavirus.
We support the National Housing Federation in asking Government to strengthen the welfare system to ensure everyone who needs it can quickly get help if their income drops.
If you are experiencing financial difficulties and worried about paying your rent, we urge you to get in touch with us as soon as possible so that we can help you access these measure, such as support claiming benefits.
Our Housing Officers and Money Advice Officer are here to help, so don’t delay and either email us admin@wha.org.uk or pick up the phone to have a chat with us on 01925 246810.
Below are some links to the available Government support and some other local agencies who can offer support.
