As an organisation, we are proud of our people and the work that they do and we are committed to investing in their development to fully enable them to continue to deliver our high standards of service.
In the last year or so, it’s all been about being proud of our past and ambitious for our future and moving forward, we want to focus on that future but also celebrate all the work that has brought us to this point.
In this year alone we have:
- Become an award winning, regulatory compliant growing organisation.
- We have provided staff with the training & tools to start promoting what we do more widely and creating an organisation built on trust; and if you follow us on Twitter and Facebook you will have seen how this has been paying off.
- We have introduced agile working, giving staff increased freedoms and flexibility to be more efficient in their work.
- We have provided the tools such as new technology in order to allow our staff to carry out their work wherever they may be.
We have had lots of other landmarks too:
- Four members of staff all celebrated 30 years working at WHA with a further member celebrating 20 years.
- Four members of staff have also all celebrated the big 50!
- Niki Stockton has joined our organisation as Director of Operations, responsible for Growth, Asset Management & Customer Services. Niki has formerly worked as Director of Asset Strategy at Your Housing Group, Director of Neighbourhoods at Eastland’s Homes and has been a member of the Executive Committee for Guinness Northern Counties.
We still have work to do and with our commitment to achieving IiP in 2019, as a team, we will start thinking about policy and procedures that focus on what people can do not what people can’t do.
