Boris Johnson yesterday (16th October) gave an update on Christmas Celebrations he has urged people to have “Short” and “Small” gatherings to reduce the spread of Covid over the festive period.
Restrictions will be relaxed between 23rd and 27th December but the PM has said people should “think hard” before meeting people
Three households will be allowed to meet (apart from Wales where only two households can meet)
CHRISTMAS RULES
The four UK nations previously agreed a set of rules for the festive period which has been set down in legislation and is NOT expected to change.
- Between 23rd and 27th December you can form a “Christmas Bubble” comprised of three households (except from Wales where only two can meet)
- You can travel between tiers and between UK nations to meet your bubble
- You can ONLY meet in homes, places of worship or public outdoor spaces – NOT pubs and restaurants
