Coronavirus Update to Customers

04 Nov 2020
News

Whilst the majority of our colleagues will be working from home during this next phase of lockdown, we will continue with a “business as usual” approach to delivering all of our services.  However, please let us know if you are having any difficulties so that we can provide you with additional support during this time.

Service Specific updates

Housing Services & Customer Support

We are increasing our focus on income collection and support and the housing team will continue to support those affected by the impact of COVID-19 to access increased wellbeing and financial advice and support, whilst encouraging those who are not affected to continue to make appropriate rent payments and stay out of arrears.

Repairs and Gas Servicing/ Breakdowns

We will be continuing to provide our repairs service to all of our customers, with our trusted contractors practising social distancing and using the necessary PPE.

We are working in close partnership with Ashley & McDonough in order to maintain operational resilience to gas safety and would like to reassure you about our gas servicing process.

Guidance states that; “if the customer is socially distancing themselves with family members, where there are no vulnerable people in the household and no members are showing symptoms of coronavirus, we are advised to go ahead with the gas safety check.”

We are also looking to recommence communal, emergency lighting and fire equipment inspections in the near future, ensuring we follow PHE and Government guidelines.

We will be continuing with our planned works program however, if you or any member of your household has been advised to self-isolate, please let us know in advance of our visit as we may need to rearrange our appointment for a later date.

Our void works will carry on as usual, with our contractors following safe practices, so that we are able to offer any available properties to those customers on our waiting list.

WHiA (Warrington Home Improvement Agency)

WHiA will continue to provide their services including the fitting of grab rails & stair rails & other adaptations to enable people to remain independent in their own homes.

LifeTime on-line activities will continue and to be available for its members and our volunteers are keen to keep providing support by making phone calls to members who may feel isolated or just want a quick chat and catch up.
