Breaking Barriers: Join the Conversation on Mental Health – Time to Talk 2024 at Lifetime
Join us at Lifetime as we create a dedicated space for meaningful conversations about mental health on Thursday, 1st February 2024. Whether you choose to immerse yourself in our FREE Cafternoon with Mindful Colouring or participate in engaging Arts & Craft, Creative Writing, exercise, or Sing Along activities within the community, each event provides an ideal atmosphere to kickstart important discussions.
The essence of this day lies in fostering supportive communities through conversations with family, friends, or colleagues about mental health. Recognising that everyone has mental health, we believe that open dialogue is key to providing support to both ourselves and others.
Launched in 2014 by Time to Change, a campaign to eradicate mental health stigma and discrimination run by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness, Time to Talk Day aims to facilitate more mental health conversations than ever before.
At Lifetime, we understand the urgency of discussing mental health. The ongoing battle to normalise these conversations and eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health is a collective effort in which we all play a crucial role. In the face of challenges like the current cost of living crisis and the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic, we understand that people are grappling with difficulties.
Wondering how you can get involved? It can be as simple as sending a text to a friend, offering a listening ear to someone feeling down, or sharing your own concerns and problems.
This Time to Talk Day, let’s kickstart a conversation! If you want to get involved, pop into Lifetime on Sankey Street in the town centre or find out more at https://LifeTimegateway.org.uk/. You can also reach us by calling 01925 246824 or emailing mail@Lifetimegateway.org.uk. Join us in making a difference in the dialogue around mental health!
