‘Know your rights’ is the focus of this year’s Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Week, a nationwide initiative to combat ASB and keep residents of our communities safe. The year’s theme is “Know your rights,” and local organisations are working together to educate the public about the delicate balance between tolerance, respect, and enforcement.
ASB has the power to destroy communities and ruin lives. It may have the biggest negative impact on a neighbourhood, making the places we live and expect to feel safe in unpleasant and unsafe. There are many ways you can get involved and learn more about the work we undertake to keep communities safe. Speak to our housing officers or independent living coordinators to learn more.
According to Neighbourhood Watch, antisocial behaviour (ASB) has the potential to have the biggest detrimental impact on the neighbourhood. It frequently affecting a single person or group, the entire community, and the area where we reside. According to the survey results, persons who are currently experiencing this issue have expressed their distress.
ASB Awareness Week is a chance to educate people about what it covers, how to report it, who to report it to, and your right to have your case reviewed. More significantly, it’s a chance to let people know what kind of support one might expect from various agencies and organisations.
